Peel strength testing

Peel strength testing is generally used to determine the strength of bonded or laminated materials. In peel strength testing the materials are peeled apart at constant speed and the force required to separate the materials is measured. This force along with data about the width of the bonded surface is used to calculate the peel strength. Generally, for peel strength testing at least one of the bonded materials is flexible. Peel strength testing is typically used to evaluate tapes, adhesives, and films etc. There are several types of peel strength testing with differing angles of peel.

Luma laboratories conduct tensile testing in accordance with BS EN ISO 11339:2010 and BS EN ISO 8510:2010.
